OUR LOVE STORY

Our story begins in July 2020. At that time, I was 27 and she was 26.

I have never been in any love relationship before. At that time I was nearly 27 and I though it was too late, and I need to find a girlfriend ASAP. I visited my friend house, and suddenly I asked him whether he had any friends that he could introduce to me. He gave me two options:

1. A girl named "L" whom I knew when we worked together in the same Vietnamese restaurant when I was in uni

2. A girl named "Ha Hong" -  a master student in UWA. I did not know her

In my mind at that time, I was thinking that option 1 was definitely not for me. It was not because she was not beautiful, not because she was not nice. It was simply just because I did not think she was a good fit for me.

So I chose Option 2, although I had never talked to her. It turned out to be the best decision of my life. She is my destiny.

At that time, the only thing I knew about Ha Hong was that she was a student in UWA, pursuing her master degree and she was also a member of Vietnamese Students Society of UWA. At that time, I graduated and was a UWA alumni. Thus, that was the only thing we have in common.

I proactively sent her a friend request on Facebook. She accepted and we started to make friend. I was a bit surprised too because I was not sure whether she accepted my friend request. Luckily, she mentioned that we had quite a few mutual friends and she accepted.  We started to chat on Messenger, then video calls, and finally I invited her for a dinner in a restaurant near her house. It was surprising that in our first chat, our first video call, or even our first face-to-face dinner, we had many topics that we could talk about, we had many things to say and share. On our first dinner together, we were even the last customers in the restaurant, and we saw the staff already started to clean the floor next to us. I mentioned to Ha that we should leave now for them to close the door.

After around 1 month getting to know each other, we started dating officially on 12/8/2020.

Ha Hong is my first love, but for her I am not her first love. However, I believe that from that day onwards. we are the one and only love of each other.
